Shocking!
Recap: Earlier last week, Sluggy theUnshaven was found dead in his vacation home near Denver with abullethole in the forehead. The bullethole was later announced to be abotching for the actual cause of death - heart poisoning by way ofinjection. A homicide case was quickly opened, with the prime suspectbeing Froslass, who had recently fled Sluggy?s vacation home forunknown reasons.
However, a few days in following, Froslass was found dead in a nearby drainage ditch off I-95. An autopsy report declared that she had actually died hours before Sluggy himself. While there where similiarities between the deaths of these two, themurders were hence believed to be connected. The detectives delveddeeper.
And now, after hours of thoroughly surveying the area aroundSluggy?s home and questioning the local residents, officials announcedearlier this morning that they had finally captured the culprit of thisdouble-homicide:
Claude Frollo!
?This is nuts. It?s like something out of a ******* movie,? saysDetective Jim Jimson. ?This was the guy who was giving us tips andheadway all along.?
Frollo had reportedly given authorities multiple tips over thecourse of this week-long case. He had reported the initial gunshot, andhad mentioned seeing both Sluggy and Froslass together only a daybefore Sluggy was found dead.
Jimson reports having knocked on Frollo?s door at around noon, andgiving him a cursory report of the case he was on. Jimson and fellowdetective Johnson asked him permission to search the grounds of hishome, and Frollo reportedly showed major resistance to this. Now givenfull reason to do a check, Jimson venture inside and found, almostimmediately, all the evidence he needed.
?The bedroom was full of all this goddamn pictures,? he says. ?Allthese pictures of Sluggy, of Froslass, of their cabin. Jesus. It givesme the creeps. He even had a few pictures of the bodies. God knows whywe didn?t catch ahold of this sooner - he was the only guy giving usany sort of headway??
?It?s almost funny,? remarks Johnson. ?This is basically all a guycan ask for in a homicide case. All wrapped up in a neat little bow.Why he?d keep all that evidence laying around I don?t know.? Johnsontakes a deep pull on his cigarette. ?An awful lot of loonies in thisworld.?
Motivation for the crime, at this point, is unknown. Frolloreportedly remained silent throughout most of his time at the countyprison and interrogation. A trial is to be held at some unknown date, and there is little to report at the moment.
